The removable, 4-position push handle on the steering wheel enables you to turn the front wheel while your child rides. When she's old enough to steer on her own, you can remove it. The freewheeling pedals allow your child to coast while you push, and the sturdy, tubular steel frame has flip-down foot rests. Also features 10-inch front wheel, durable molded wheels with grip tread, soft removable cargo pack, adjustable seat and ringing bell. Measures approximately 30" x 21.5" x 23".

The advertisement also mentions a place for the child to put their feet. We really aren't finding the location of this feature to be useful. It is too far back on the bike for my son to feel comfortable to put his feet there. BUT when assembled correctly (I put the front pedal on backwards to begin with) the front pedals won't turn without being pushed so they are like foot rests until he gets the hang of pedaling.
Also, this bike has great colors, a little pouch to store those wonderful collectables (rocks, etc.) picked up along the way, and made by a reputable company (Radio Flyer).

Assembly was quite easy (just make sure you put the front tire on correctly - facing the right way). The hubcaps were a bit troublesome, but ok overall.

This bike had many of the same features of the more expensive [price] range bikes, but we only paid about [price] for this one.
I am highly recommending the Radio Flyer Steer and Stroll to all I know with kids this age range.

I am seeing reviews which do not match the product description. Maybe RadioFlyer changed their model. This is the review against 2009 model I bought for my 19 month son.
The product arrived well packed and is heavy. There are hardly ANY plastic parts, all metal. Assembling took some time, though descriptive with drawings but advice you to keep your child elsewhere while assembling! On a serious note - when attaching the front steering wheel, ensure to first put in the wheel bar (U-shaped) and then try fitting the steering handle.
Anyways - the product is SOLID and well balanced. I do not really see a need for seat harness if you're purchasing this and your child is already +18 months. There's a bell included but it's very basic and really useless. The color is red and well painted which does not seem likely to start peeling. The seat's good, steering handles are good and sturdy.
It's quite easy to steer with 1 good thing - they have curtailed the amount your child can steer - right or left. This means less chances of toppling and when I picked it up - it's very obvious the engineers have kept a low center of gravity. Picking it up for taking it down/up stairs is very simple - provisioning it by a whole in the seat back portion.
The parent's attachment is considerably long enough and thus one can easily steer it and push it forward.
There are some good thoughts they did - a child can't really pedal but they do tend to put their foot on the pedal. This does NOT stop the parent from pushing the bike. The wheels are free cruising and thus you can pedal forward.
Next, the front wheel is 10". That's considerable for this size bike. The tires though plastic look quite solid - front and back.
There's a review on the steering concept utilized. I am not sure whether it's for an older model. But there ARE NO CABLES IN THIS MODEL I BOUGHT. it's a gear system, internally located within the pipes connecting back to steering wheels and handle. It's quite stable and responsive.

So I bought the Radio Flyer Steer & Stroll reluctantly. I read all the bad reviews and expected to be unhappy with my purchase. I went ahead and bought it because I wasn't willing to shell out the dough to buy the higher end push trikes out there.

Boy have I been pleasantly suprised! I love the Radio Flyer Steer & Stroll. It suits our purposes perfectly. We live in a very hilly neighborhood, so my son was simply unable to ride a trike without a push handle, just too dangerous (and impossible to get up the hills). Now I can hold him back going down the hills and give him a push going up the hills. He loves it!

The steering feature works wonderfully. I love the handle, it's very comfortable and easy to use, just steer with a twist of the wrist.

As for durablilty, it seems well made. Maybe they've improved after past bad reviews? Sure, it's a lot of plastic on a metal frame, but I think under normal use it'll hold up fine.

The only "con" I've found is that it can't be petaled backward. DS thinks petalling backward is hysterical, but the petals just freewheel if you try it on this trike. (I assume this is due to the parental steering function)

We were really excited about this purchase for our 18 mth old son. Unfortunately, the steering for the parent-attachment failed to work after only a few months. Even the nuts and bolts came undone while we had taken a stroll in the neighborhood. Now the pedals will turn but they don't actually move the wheels and the steering for the kids handlebars don't work either. It was a great idea, but a waste of money.

The tricycle looks as nice as the expensive European brand, but the quality is quite disappointing. The headset squeaks loudly and no amount of oil seems to make it go away. The plastic bushings are cheap substitutes of a real roller bearing.

The adult steering assembly is getting looser by the day. Soon, the adult will not be able to steer the tricycle. It must be a plastic steering part.

Lastly the pedals keep falling off the tricycle. This is primarily because there is no metal cotter pin or retainer holding the pedal to the spindle. This pin would only cost a few cents, yet they cheaped out on it!

This is quite disappointing, considering my daughter used this for two weeks. We should have known that you get what you pay for.
