After searching everywhere for a Mario themed birthday cake for my son's 6th Birthday.... I came up with a little brainstorm and hoped it would work! I ordered this set of mini Mario Figures, had the grocery store make up a basic birthday cake with balloons & streamers, write Happy Birthday Dylan!, and placed these figures randomly on the cake. It turned out beautiful. You would not have ever known it wasn't an official Mario Theme Cake!!! In the words of a very happy 6 year old boy.... "This is the greatest birthday cake you ever got for me Mom!!!" Love, Love, Love this product!!! He now plays with the figures on a daily basis... in bed, in the tub, in the car, outside... you name it. Seeing him enjoy something so much makes it worth all the money in the world! (Though they only cost me about $25)

We have bought 3 different Mario figures two from Amazon, one from Target, and all three lose their nose and mustache after the first dip in the tub.
My daughter loves Mario and I keep buying more, but I wish he could keep his nose on! She does carry him around every where even when he's missing his nose. She loves to "pair him off with Peach"
Yoshi doesn't stand up well but the rest seem to do okay.

I bought this for my 4 year who LOVES Mario. Within the first 10 minutes of playing with the toys Marios nose fell off. We glued it back on and it fell off again within the same day. Now my son refuses to play with the Mario because "I will just break it." That was all about 2 weeks ago and I couldnt even tell you where any of them are. Waste of money.

I bought these figures to go on top of my 4 year old's "Mario Bros" cake. They looked so cute, and he LOVED them!! They are the perfect size. These are really only meant for decoration though, not so much as toys. I gave them to him once we had the cake and he likes to carry them around and play with them, but they fall apart quite a bit. Now that I have used super glue on a few of them they are doing better. So far Yoshi's head popped off, Luigi's head broke off, and Mario's nose came off. Like I said though, I super glued them all back on and so far they're still there haha. Basically they are WONDERFUL decorations, but very breakable when played with!

I was impressed with the detail work on these items.
As a previous reviewer noted, Yoshi does stand up well. These were cake toppers for my son, though, and he (Yoshi) does stand up in icing.
I really think they are quite nice for display or imaginative play. They have no moving parts, which is good and bad. It lowers the liklihood of breaking, but it does limit the scope of what you can actually make them do.
Again, these were fine cake toppers, and they've not been shelved or trashed since. I'm viewing them as a win.
