We bought this for our 2 year old daugher for Christmas. Let's be real...for $40 it's not going to last forever and isn't going to have amazing workmanship. But it is a nice size (big enough for mom or dad to get inside too), it has some nice touches (front door that opens and closes), and the price is right. My daughter really loves it! We didn't use the curtain inside to create the "dressing room" because it just took up too much room. Instead we rigged the curtain up so that it covers the back entrance (the one without the curtains). That way she has more privacy and it feels more like a house. Overall, a good buy and a fun toy.

My oldest daughter received this as a gift for her 2nd birthday and 4 years later is is still holding up and she still loves it!!! Now my 18 month old is starting to play in the house too. Whenever my daughters have friend over, this is the first thing that comes out. I love how it folds up in its own bag for easy storage and travel. It also pops up easily enough that my oldest can take it out and put it together. I would highly recommend this Playhut!

I bought this playhouse boutique for my three year old daughter. When viewing tents online my daughter was not so interested in reviews as she was that it was a big "PINK" tent. So I basically purchased it for that reason. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the item. The playhouse looks exactly as pictured. The size could comfortably hold 2 toddlers up to 3 if sitting. The set-up instructions were very straight forward and the tent was easy to put together (which is very important with an impatient toddler). No tools required. The tent did come with a purple "curtain" which was suppose to be used as a "changing room" divider in order to partition about a half of the tent to be used for that purpose. This is suppose to be a clothing boutique. I found the curtain to awkwardly hang from the ceiling of the tent and take up way to much room. We ended up attaching it to the bottom of the tent, to act as a floorboard since the tent did not come with one. The tent isn't your high end camping tent and isn't as robust as you would expect from an outdoor tent. Although, I have purchase other play tents that appeared to have more durability. The fabric seems like something you would find under a box spring mattress (just thicker). However it is strong enough to withstand hours and hours of play and makes a great indoor playhouse to enhance your child's imagination. The fabric allows for the tent to collapse very easily making it a quick clean-up and store away product. I store mine under my daughter's bed. The door and window gives the tent more imagination. My daughter plays house, drive thru coffee shop,etc. There are draw back curtains on both sides of the tent and can be drawn back or tied close. I am very pleased with this purchase and my daughter is as well. She has spent numerous hours playing make believe.

I was trying to find something fun & different for my cousin's one year birthday. I came across this & thought it would be a fun & different gift. I was worried about it for a few reasons 1) will she use it? 2) will it be in the way? But hen I read in the description that it was a "pop-up" playhouse. I've seen hampers that work in the same way so I thought this would be perfect! The family lives in their first (starter) home & didn't want the playhouse not be used because it was too big or in the way.
So when she unwrapped it at her party we opened it up & sure enough it popped into place & it has two plastic rods that reinforce it so it stays taut. Then the third rod serves as a hinge on the door so it swings open & shut. There's also a little plastic holder at the top of the door where you can insert a sign. We made one that says " Carin's Playhouse." So cute! She loved it! It was such a perfect gift I decided to order another one for my other cousin who is also turning one! This item can very easily be broke down & stored.
I will be ordering this product again next time I have a toddler's birthday party to go to! For the price, the product, & how much they enjoyed it, it is just perfect!

I have two daughters (5 and 2 1/2) and one on the way. I saw this while Christmas shopping on Amazon and thought they would have fun with it. Boy, was I right. When we opened the box on Christmas morning, we had it set up in less than 10 minutes. It would have been faster, but I was running a bit slow that morning! The girls LOVE this play tent. We set it up in their play room and they are in it constantly. My youngest seems to like it the best as it gives her a place to "get away" from everything. She'll take a toy in there and just play for an hour or so - most times by herself. I'm so glad we got it for them. I hope it's sturdy enough to make it through the last girl too! It seems like it would be as long as we don't let them abuse it.
