 Beautiful, but better for older kids or collectors Oct 30, 2010

We bought this for our daughter during her All Things Wizard of Oz and Dorothy phase. She loves the doll and sleeps with her, but it's made her woolly, yarn hair pill. The hair now looks a bit frizzy.
She's beautiful, though, but she's probably better suited to someone who wouldn't "love" her quite so much, and who would be a bit more gentle.

My daughter loves WOZ so I got her this as an incentive for potty training. I like the doll. The only negative thing is some of her hair has fallen out. It probablyy could be glued on or something but I did not try. just a few strands...but this is the most realistic dorothy I could find.

Unlike the the collectibles this is soft and cuddly and she carries it all around

This was a gift for a five-year-old and she was very happy to open it. She loves the Wizard of Oz and it was the theme of her birthday party. I can't speak to the durability of the doll, but it was and is of good quality and I was happy to have found and given it as a gift. I purchased several Wizard of Oz items on Amazon and they all were better than I anticipated, and everyone else was jealous that I found such great gifts for our little girl. I like that this doll is so soft and can be cuddled and taken to bed with her. Very pleased.

My granddaughter is totally obsessed with the Wizard of Oz and she has seen it MULTIPLE times!! She loves her Dorothy doll. You can't have the Wicked Witch and Glinda without Dorothy!
