This is a great toy, and perfect for a young child, since the completely enclosed design protects delicate fingers (and mouths). My child loved this toy right from the start, and still loves it today.

I like that the metal castinets are enclosed in plastic, so they don't get dirty or rust. My 18 mo. old doesn't play with it much, but she's probably too young to appreciate it. Has a good sound!

I was so glad to find this item! My baby loves grasping it and hearing the sound when he shakes it! The metal pieces are completely enclosed with durable plastic. I wish you could choose the color, but luckily I got what I wanted.

My son is 8 months and we've had this toy since he was 7 months. It has held up well so far, and he bangs it on just about everything. It is a bit on the heavy side for his age but with both hands he can move it pretty well. It is easy for him to grasp. My only complaint is that you can't pick the color you want. We got yellow, which is nice, but I wanted green.
