Not good for kids less than 3 yrs old Jul 30, 2008

I think the seating position does not allow shorted kids to comfortably use it. Would be possibly fun for ages around 4 yrs.

Great Deal, Great Tricycle Apr 15, 2011
By Shauna G My 2 1/2-year old was so excited when he received this tricycle. Assembly wasn't too difficult & was complete in less than 10 minutes. My son is tall for his age, so he can reach the pedals just fine when the seat is on the highest setting. However, he is so used to using his feet/legs to push himself on these types of toys, that he doesn't yet understand the concept of the pedals & doesn't want to be shown. I'm sure that will come with time. For now, he's enjoying it just the way that he wants to, and that is fine by us. The only down-side (that doesn't change my rating) is that his feet sometimes bump into the back wheels while he pushes himself. This of course will be remedied once he figures out the pedals.
Like the other reviewers, I'd say this trike would probably be more appropriate for a 3- or 4-year old. It is sturdy and well weighted, but might be a little too big for the lower end of the recommended age of range 2-5 years. The adjustable feature of the seat will be handy over time, and the price is great when compared to similar products.

Great First Bike Sep 24, 2010
By Traci Wallerstein Bought this for our three year old grandson. His father said he loves it! He is able to manuever it and ride without any difficulty. The seat makes it easy to adjust to his size and as he grows. I would recommend this to and "new" drivers!

super fun and value Oct 17, 2010
By twinheaven I chose two of these for our twin girls aged 2 1/2 years. They were so excited when they saw the trike boxes and even more so when we had built them! The trickiest part was the wheel nuts and the stickers supplied have been peeled off already. For the price these are great toys for youngsters to gain confidence and balance, have fun and learn how to coordinate the pedals before using a two wheel bicycle

Age range is inaccurate: Too big for 2 year olds Jan 04, 2011
By Sarah R. This is a really nice, solid trike with one big flaw: at the lowest setting it's still way too big for my 30-month-old.
She's no shorty -- she's been consistently in the 75th percentile for height. It would be helpful if the manufacturer listed a minimum height requirement in order to reach the pedals. It's just not as much fun for her to scoot herself along with her feet.
