Her large eyes and freckles say "I am my own person" unlike other Rapunzel dolls this one does NOT look like a Barbie. It's face being a bit rounder, jointed wrists so she can paint. And Magical shimmer hair, is perfect, her outfit is nicely detailed and she comes with her paint brush and chameleon. Still works with all of the other playsets, but much nicer looking. I get all of my princess dolls from disney now. They come with accessories that aid in playing the characters and all of the princes and princesses really look like the movie characters.

Lovely Rapunzel doll from Disney Dec 06, 2010

My kindergartner has always loved the story of Rapunzel, and when we saw Tangled, we both fell in love with the lead character of Rapunzel. I got her the Rapunzel doll by Disney and she loves playing with it. More importantly, for a few dollars more, this Rapunzel doll looks like the character featured in the movie Tangled, unlike other brand 'Rapunzel' dolls that do not look anything like the Disney character.
This doll comes with three accessories, i.e. Rapunzel's pet chameleon Pascal, a paint brush, and a hair brush. Rapunzel's hair is lustrous and beautiful, with shimmery highlights. The doll figure itself is poseable. The hair does take some effort to maintain, so younger children may not handle this very well (may need the assistance of an adult). Because the hair is so long, it can easily get 'tangled'. My daughter uses a spray bottle with water in it, to straighten out the hair each time this happens, and that seems to solve it. Pulling on the hair with a brush will only cause the hair to come off, so please be aware of this when giving the doll to a young child. My daughter loves to create stories of fantasy and magic (one recent play involved Rapunzel having a picnic with the Zoobles!). This is a beautiful Rapunzel doll which will engage any young child (ages three and up).

My 2 1/2 year old daughter got this doll as a Christmas present. She was super excited because she had already seen "Tangled" and is really into princesses right now. From the minute we got the doll out of the box, the hair was ridiculously tangled, and we could not get the included toy brush through it. The hair started falling out everywhere, and we decided that we would try to use a real hairbrush on it when we got home. Well, that was a no-go too, causing Rapunzel to lose a lot more of her hair, and we were still unsuccessful in untangling her long, long locks. Over the next week, my daughter played with Rapunzel contantly, and as she did, the doll shedded more and more hair all over the house. In fact, we even had to cut the hair out of the rollers on our vacuum because it tangled in them so badly. We finally brushed the doll's hair out in sections and I braided it as this seemed to be the only solution to the problem!! Our little girl is just as happy to play with Rapunzel with a braid as with a messy mass of "Tangled" hair! This doll is really cute, but Disney definitely needs to do something to make this hair easier to brush and not fall out so much! If you read the reviews on this product on the Disney store's website, you will see how many people have had this same issue!

She is absolutely beautiful! Her hair is long, shiny and has strips of iridescent material to make it appear to glow. Unfortunately, her hair very easily becomes knotted and tangled, and you cannot brush the tangles out with the small brush that comes with the doll. We brushed the hair with a regular hairbrush and braided it to avoid this problem, and the child still loves this doll! Her clothing and features are beautiful, and she looks just like the princess from the movie. My granddaughter loves her, and so does her six year old sister. (I guess I really should have bought one for each of them even though the six year old had requested the Tangled DS game instead) I think all little girls would love having this doll.

My 5 year old received this doll from Santa along with the Tangled Tower. The reviewers who said the hair becomes a tangled mess are correct. We have many many Barbies and Disney princess dolls and NEVER have we had one tangle this badly and this quickly. My daughter pushed the hair through the window in the tower a couple of times and by the end of Christmas day the doll was a disaster. This goes WAY beyond anything I have ever experienced. And I don't about you but I do not have the time to wash, trim or otherwise style doll hair. I expected some tangling but wow.
