5Buddy Christ  Mar 12, 2007 By A. Johnson
My own little pick me up. When I'm feeling down, I see my buddy christ looking at me with a thumbs up, and i feel that everything is gonna be ok.

5Every teen wants one  Aug 10, 2007 By Book Woman "Book Woman"
I took a lot of flack for buying my 16 year old one with her first car. She put it right up there on the dashboard. My religious friends thought it was blasphemous. Regardless of its origin my theory is there is nothing wrong with thinking of Jesus as your buddy, and if it makes her think of Him at all, then my job is done. So lighten up and put one in your kids car.

5Not just a toy. The Toy.  Sep 09, 2009 By J. Schmidt "Lightfoot"
To call this a toy is to grossly misinterpret the meaning of this revitalized icon. This isn't just Christ, it's a Christ who could be your Buddy. Hence the name Buddy Christ. This is what faith should be, but never will be. One man's blasphemy is another man's Buddy Christ. It is an appropriate addition to any superhero action figure collection.

The red dots on the wrists are needlessly gruesome - who really needs to be reminded that this cool guy got nailed to a cross? That wasn't his legacy, his awesome attitude toward his fellow humans was his superpower. Spiderman hasn't got anything on this guy.

This is a great gift for anybody, regardless of any religious beliefs. Dogma was a great movie too.
